Forklift Parts Witchita Falls - The north-central Texas city of Wichita Falls is situated roughly 120 miles northwest of Dallas City. The border to Oklahoma is just 15 miles north of the city. It is considered the main transportation hub of North Texas and is the county seat of Wichita County.

The city of Wichita Falls was almost destroyed by one of the biggest tornadoes in history in April 10, 1979. A lot of business establishments and houses were destroyed. Thankfully the city was able to make a quick recovery. In just a few short years the majority of the damage was repaired.
There is a large assortment of attractions and locations of interest throughout the city. The Wichita Falls Museum and Arts Centre, The Wichita Falls Railroad Museum and The Kell House Museum are amongst the notable museums in the area. There are also several performing arts facilities, like the Wichita Ballet Theatre, the Wichita Falls Symphony and the Backdoor Theatre.
The Wichita Falls Wildcats, is among the cities professional sports teams. The play ice hockey in the North American Hockey League. Another sports team from Wichita are the Wichita Falls Drillers, who have recently won a Minor League Football national championship.
The Sheppard Air Force Base is the biggest business within the city. Boeing and Lear Sigler Services, Inc., provides services for the base. The Allred Unit, a medium and maximum security prison is another one of the city's largest businesses. The economy is mostly made up of healthcare, educational services, and agriculture, along with aerospace and defense industries.

The leading fields of employment in the city of Wichita Falls are healthcare, educational services, government, construction, accommodation and food services. Around 28 percent of the workforce is involved with professional, management, and related occupations, 20 percent in service occupations, and 24 percent in sales and office occupations.
